Officer Rodrigues from Morrisville Police Department shares this photo of K-9 Arko after he successfully completed NPCA certifications in Narcotics, Tracking, and Patrol. six months ago,

This team graduated from K2’s MPC Course and obtained certifications from IPWDA. Included with the picture was the following message “Thank you to everyone at K2 for a great canine and for MPC Trainer Jim O’Brien training us to a high level of standards, AKA…the K2 mountain peak. I received many compliments about Arko during certifications.” The team chooses to maintain certifications with both organizations by certifying every six months. Why every 6 months? Simple….because training never stops.

Officer Matt Huntingford from Nags Head Police Department shared his canine’s find from this week when Bak (pictured above) indicated on approximately 200 caps of heroin in a hide-a-can that he found during a traffic stop. Bak performed an exterior alert and stuck his nose at the base of the driver seat; without jumping inside, he alerted again. The can was hidden behind the seat.

Thank you, Officer Rodrigues and Officer Huntingford, for sharing your stories.
