K2 Solutions, Inc. Invited to Major League Baseball Ballpark Operations and Guest Services Meetings
K2 Solutions, Inc. (K2) would like to announce that we are attending the 2016 Major League Baseball (MLB) Ballpark Operations and Guest Services Meetings this week to discuss our security products and services. These meetings include security, operations, and guest services representatives from all 30 MLB Clubs.
Our primary focus will be the Person-Borne™ Explosive Detection Dogs (PB-EDD) that are employed to unmask mobile threats who move through crowds wearing explosive devices or carrying munitions. These canines provide an additional layer of security for populated areas, crowded locations, and entry control points by scanning large crowds for explosive or munitions signatures left by a passing threat.
K2’s PB-EDD Handler Teams have been awarded the Department of Homeland Security’s SAFETY Act Designation for this Technology. “The Technology detects explosives carried by individuals, e.g., in backpacks and/or clothing, by following the path of air molecules flowing from explosive material on a moving individual, and for traditional explosive detection canine team deployments to locate explosives on stationary positions. The Technology includes hiring and vetting of personnel, and policies and procedure” (https://www.safetyact.gov).
