Southern Pines, N.C. (April 17, 2018) –
K2 Solutions, Inc. of Southern Pines, North Carolina has named Mr. Tracy Campbell as the company’s new Vice President of Canine Operations. In that role, Mr. Campbell will head K2’s 125-acre Canine Training Center in Derby, North Carolina. He will provide oversight to the facility which includes a 360 kennel run capacity, an ATF and DCMA certified explosives bunker, five training areas, and five support buildings as well as seasoned leadership to a staff of 75. Mr. Campbell has served as K2’s Chief Canine Trainer for more than two years.
Mr. Campbell is a Certified Law Enforcement officer in North Carolina. He retired as a Sergeant from the City of Fayetteville Police Department with more than 25 years of experience as a canine handler and trainer. He remains a Reserve Officer with that department today. Mr. Campbell has trained law enforcement officers and military members from throughout the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Iraq, and Nigeria. He is a Master Trainer with the International Police Work Dog Association and serves as the organization’s current Vice President. In addition, he is a General Instructor with the State of North Carolina and an ATF Advanced Explosive Detection Canine Evaluator.
Mr. Campbell has served on the following boards: National Explosive Detector Canine Advisory Board (NECAB), Scientific Working Group on Dog (SWGDOG) and Orthogonal Detector Guidelines.
