Southern Pines, N.C. (April 16, 2018) –
K2 Solutions, Inc. of Southern Pines, North Carolina has named Jennifer Haigh as the company’s new Business Development Manager. Jennifer comes to K2 from Morpho Detection, LLC and later, Smiths and Rapiscan Systems where she was the Director of North American Sales, Aviation. In that role, she initiated and managed relationships with all domestic and international air carriers, express carriers, freight forwarders and handlers. With her extensive operational knowledge of technology implementation in the air cargo environment, Jennifer has also become a trusted advisor in the industry.
Jennifer will be leading K2’s Canine Division Business Development efforts in the burgeoning field of Third Party Canine Air Cargo Screening, a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) initiative to provide regulated entities the option to screen air cargo using certified canine teams as an approved primary screening approach.
K2 researchers, developers and canine professionals have established new and innovative canine cargo screening solutions for airlines, freight forwarders, and other logistics companies within the supply chain. They are training Single-Purpose Explosives Detection canines to detect bulk and trace amounts of explosive odors in a variety of environments and situations. These highly trained dogs are then able to screen pallets more effectively, reliably, and quickly than traditional methods in order to reduce the number of man-hour and resources currently required.
Jennifer received her undergraduate degree from Pine Manor College, Brookline, Massachusetts, and a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Program Management from Southern New Hampshire University.
