Train the Trainer Handler Course
Advanced Detection Seminar
This course will cover techniques that are integral to the successful location of any target substance odor. Subjects included will be odor imprinting, training an effective response, environmental factors affecting odor, working through distractions, real world search scenarios, and deployment in public spaces.
Advanced Patrol Decoying
Crucial for a canine trainer or decoy that is responsible for ensuring their department or unit’s canine team is ready for actual deployments. Our experienced training staff will instruct students on the proper utilization of a hidden sleeve during training as well as muzzle work. Workshop attendees will also learn effective table training techniques, drills to eliminate equipment fixation and the use of scenario based decoy training.
Basic E-Collar Conditioning
Criminal Interdiction for the K9 Officer
This course is designed to present each student with the necessary skills to identify, investigate, apprehend and prosecute subjects involved in criminal activity. Upon completion of this course, attendees will have been provided the knowledge to successfully deploy and utilize their K9 in a criminal interdiction environment.
Patrol Aggression Problem Solving
SWAT/SRT Tactical Applications
K2 instructors with Army Special Operations backgrounds will cover the training of canine/handler teams in tactical applications normally used by SWAT/SRT teams. This seminar is intended for both canine teams with and without previous tactical experience. K9 teams will be introduced to gunfire, tactical team movement in and around buildings, CQB, exposure to breaching/diversionary simulators, muzzle work, K9 hostile/friendly discrimination, K9 team tactical insertion, as well as other aspects of training.
