Person Borne™ Explosives Detection Seminar at SHOT Show

K2 Solutions will be presenting a Person Borne™ Explosives Detection Canine Seminar at this year’s SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Use of the Person Borne – Explosive Detection Dog Capability to Enhance Security Operations”

K2 Solutions has developed the Person Borne-Explosives Detection Dog capability through which canines and their handlers are trained to support the growing threat of explosives in mass transit and special event environments .

This capability puts detection in the hands of security units, creating a non-threatening, yet effective means of clearing locations such as mass transit, arenas, schools, universities, sporting events and locations that would host large crowds. The ability for a Person Borne-Explosives Detection Dog Teams to screen large crowds in open areas and at checkpoints provides public safety agencies and those seeking greater security in public spaces an added form of highly effective and less intrusive explosives security. K2’s PB-EDD capability often adds an enhancement to existing security approaches by extending the security perimeter being scanned. In addition to the detection of explosives on moving targets, PB-EDDs also are trained with traditional single purpose explosive detection capabilities for cargo, luggage, vehicles, freight, etc. K2’s PB-EDD capability has been awarded the Department of Homeland Security’s Safety Act Designation for DT&E.

This event will be held on Thursday Jan. 25th from 1:30-2:30pm. K2 Chief Trainer Tracy Campbell will be the presenter.
